Servicing

You need to have your boiler serviced at least once a year, if you do not, it won’t operate efficiently and may start to break down.
It is also a requirement of receiving the renewable heat incentive (RHI) that you must have your biomass boiler serviced according to the manufactures instructions. We can make sure your boiler is running effciently and safely with a boiler service carried out by manufacturer trained technicians.

Whatever the problem, we can resolve it.
If your boiler is not working, one of our technicians will inspect it and then give you an estimate on the time it will take to repair the boiler, also informing you of any parts that may be required. We keep a large range of spare parts in stock, so most of the time the boiler can be fixed on the first visit.

Our service is UK-wide, covering an array of boiler manufacturers & models

We provide BoilerCare long-term service plans, annual servicing and one-oŽff repairs for both Fröling and ETA biomass boilers.

Eight Percent has coverage across the United Kingdom, with service engineers at key points throughout the nation.

We currently oŽffer servicing and repairs for Fröling and ETA biomass boilers. We are expecting more manufactuers and models to round out our services.

Fröling models include S1 Turbo, S3 Turbo, S4 Turbo, S4 Turbo F, SP Dual, PE1, P4, T4, TX, Turbomat, Lambdamat - including all model types and all fuel types (firewood, pellet, logs and woodchip).

ETA models include PU, PC, PE-K, Twin, SH, Ehack, Hack, Hack VR - including all model types and all fuel types (firewood, pellet, logs and woodchip).

What’s included in a service

Biomass Boiler
Check water pressure of system and operation of expansion vessel/s
Clean flue gas recirculation equipment (if installed), draught fan and flue gas temperature sensor
Fuel path operation - check all motors, actuators, fill level sensors, strainers and operation readiness of the safety devices
Check fuel store and fuel transfer equipment
Check return-riser/buffer loading assembly for correct operation
Clean heat exchanger, check exchanger tubes, clean and calibrate the lambda probe and inspect seals on exchanger covers
Clean flue cap and condensate collector
Clean combustion chamber, grate, ignition tube, primary and secondary air openings, plus check stoker unit for tightness and correct operation
Remove ash, empty ash box/es, check seals and de-ashing system
Solar thermal
Check sensors, pressure relief valve and expansion vessel
Inspect pump for correct operation
Visual inspection of the panels and add/replace glycol if necessary
